Playhouse Theatre, Bournemouth

Opened in June 1931 as the Palace Court Theatre, the home of The Little Theatre Club. In 1970 it was sold to to Louis I Michaels’ LM Theatres and renamed the Playhouse Theatre. The former Green Room was converted into the Galaxy Cinema and later the main 595 seat auditorium was also turned into a cinema. On the death of Louis Michaels the building was sold to the Wessex Christian Centre.
