Fit for Heroes
The run at the Embassy was originally scheduled to end on 4th October.
From 20th December, the play’s run at the Whitehall was arranged on a two-plays-per-night basis, with WORM’S EYE VIEW starting at 5.45pm and FIT FOR HEROES at 8.15.
The experiment was not a success, FIT FOR HEROES being withdrawn altogether and the WORM’S EYE VIEW start time changed to 6.30. (‘Chit Chat: Late Shows’, The Stage 3rd January 1946, page 8.)
