No Room at the Inn
The two-week run in Bristol marked the beginning of a lengthy tour, with the play eventually reaching the West End (at the Winter Garden Theatre) in May 1946 and running until May the following year.
After the Bristol run, Alfred Hirst and Doris Rogers resumed their original roles.

Observations
-
I have on my wall a rather beautiful pen and ink line drawing of a country scene with overhanging trees – and the artist is Lucienne Gow. It has a small stamp at the bottom right hand corner that it is an Artists Proof from The Rembrandt Guild. I bought this beautiful art work in Tring – it was part of a larger Art collection of bundles of art which I successfully bid £8.00 for – with the intention of owning the lovely “tree picture”. Does anyone else have anything by her/him?
