I worked as the Deputy Wig and Makeup Master at the National Theatre from 1972–1995 Supervising the shows in the Olivier Theatre, and touring the world with many productions for both the Olivier and the Lyttleton theatres . Also overseeing transfers to London’e West End .

Edgar Hoover, fell off a Forklift Truck before it had reached the stage level and broke his ankle and had to leave the cast . Michael Bryant took over the role of J Edgar Hoover . Kelly Hunter ( the young Jean Seberg) damaged her leg and had to sit on the front of the stage singing and narrating the role while her understudy and dance captain ( Carol Ball ) did the movement and dancing ..”
