Old King Cole
The Duke’s Playhouse company migrated from Lancaster to Morecambe for the summer to find out if it was viable to perform shows all year round. They ran a deliberately populist programme in repertoire. The Plays: See How They Run by Philip King, Old King Cole by Ken Campbell and a specially commissioned musical adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s Phantom of The Opera by Ken Hill which predated Andrew Lloyd Weber’s version.
