Roger the Sixth
This play was initially tried out by the Repertory Players as a one-off performance at the Strand Theatre on Sunday 3rd March 1957.
A further try-out by the same group, at the same address, followed on Sunday 24th April 1960. As with this full production, the director was Leslie Phillips and the cast was the same, except for Bill Redway (Wimps), Kenneth Edwards (Filley) and Frederick Treves (Wade). Oscar Quitak, Noel Dyson and Gordon Tanner were common to all three versions.
After all that, the Westminster production ran for only 23 performances.
