Henry V – Lion of England

A one-man adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s finest history plays, which won huge critical acclaim in Birmingham, Stratford-upon-Avon and the USA and is now coming to mac as part of the first UK tour for the awardwinning Maverick Theatre Company. A modern-day chorus takes us back to the dark, dangerous days of 1415, when an insulting gift of tennis balls from the headstrong King Dauphin of France provokes King Harry.

These two young men eventually meet in a bloody war that climaxes with the battle at Agincourt. The innovative recipe of one actor together with a supporting cast of lights, sound and an evocative original live music score combines to create 90 minutes of edge-of-the-seat excitement.
