Bachelor Flat
This specific production does not yet have a description, but the play itself does:
The play had a somewhat convoluted history. It is reported to have been performed originally in 1959 under the title “Libby”. Its first performance under the title “Bachelor Flat” was in November 1959. In March 1960 it started a pre London tour with three of its original stars and original director but with a new set designer. By the time it reached the West End it had lost its female lead and was credited with a new director.
It received a terrible press and closed after four performances. It was however made into a film by director Frank Tashlin who incorporated some of the plot elements from a previous film of his called “Susan Slept Here”.
