The Liverpool run, originally set for four weeks, was extended to seven, thanks to audience demand. The West End run was taken off after 92 performances, because “in spite of an excellent critical reception audiences have not been sufficiently numerous.” (‘Chit Chat’, The Stage 26th March 1959, page 6.)
