This performance of Accidental Death was cited as one of the greatest performances of it in the UK.

I was part of the audience of this really wonderful production on the 23th April 1979.It is tied in my memory with an anouncement during the production of the injuring of Blair Peach in Southall at a demo. there. It seemed impossible, was a real shock as we were watching such a play.

The most astounding production I’ve ever seen. I left 100% certain that I could change the world, singlehandedly, and vowed NEVER to doubt that resistance was worth it ever again. Leaving the theatre everyone around me seemed just as fired up as I was.
And in case any of those original actors see this – I’m sorry for being so distracting at the beginning of Act2. I was in the front row, & had just found a pack of Pop Rocks in my pocket – a new brand I’d not tried – and had tipped them all into my mouth at once. My head exploded, and I was embarrassed as neighbours turned to stare, but mortified when the actors came onstage and could also clearly hear the racket. Sorry. But what a night!! Many many thanks xxxx
