Play description
The play is an adaptation of the novel “Celle Qui N’Etait Plus” by Pierre Boileau and Thomas Narcejac. It was originally published in English as “The Woman Who Was No More” although later editions are titled “The Fiends” or “She Who Was No More”.
It was most famously filmed in 1955 as “Les Diaboliques”, directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot starring Simone Signoret and Vera Clouzot, although the plot was changed somewhat.
