Observations

  1. On 18th December 2012 at 6:05 p.m., Sue Pomeroy noted:

In 1950 I was 6, during my mother’s absence in hospital, many members of the family were called upon to look after me; one event has stayed firmly in my memory and perhaps sowed the seed of what I have become today.
An aunt and uncle had tickets for the musical ‘White Horse Inn’ at the Bristol Hippodrome. Whether it was a professional or an amateur performance I don’t know but they wanted to take me with them. I remember the dark auditorium and the quiet, I was so excited I had no idea what to expect, suddenly the stage was filled with colour and movement, the music and singing was exhilarating and I loved every minute of it. This was my first taste of musical theatre and it was wonderful. Perhaps they wont remember this occasion but it has stayed with me always.
