  1. On 21st October 2013 at 10:41 p.m., alanmacmillan noted:

    I have a theatre bill from the THEATRE ROYAL Edinburgh. November 1829.
    After the Tragedy of DOUGLAS was performed it reads thus: ‘After which will be performed, by Desire, for the FifthTime in this City, a New Farce, in Two Acts,called THE YOUTHFUL QUEEN, or CHRISTINE OF SWEDEN. Translated and Adapted to the English Stage from a petite Comedy by M. Bayard entitled La Reine de Seize Ans.
    Count D’Oxenstein, Prime Minister, by Mr Mackay, Frederick Bury,a Young Officer, by Mr Montague Stanley- Steinberg, Frederick’s Cousin, by Mr Hooper. Emma, D’Oxenstein’s Neice ,by Miss Pincott, Christine, Queen of Sweden, by Miss Jarman’.
    the bill then goes onto the next Production Robinson Crusoe and his Man Friday.
