Sunil Pokharel

Sunil Pokharel is a theatre artist and director. He is considered as one of the pioneers of modern Nepali theatre. He is a graduate of National School of Drama, India (1987). He has directed more than four dozens of variedly important Nepali, Indian and European plays; three tele-serials and five tele-dramas in his more than three-decade-long career in the field.

Pokharel established Aarohan Gurukul, the first drama school in the country. He is the artistic director of Aarohan theatre and Principle of Gurukul: school of theatre. The government of Nepal recognizes him as a national talent.
