To direct this production, Barry Davis was temporarily released by Granada Television. Rehearsals began on 16th May 1969. (‘Granada releases director’, The Stage 15th May 1969, page 9.)
This was the second in a season of five shows at the Fortune Theatre (May-October 1969) by the Park Theatre Company, set up by Howard & Wyndham and directed by John Neville. It was preceded by HONOUR AND OFFER and followed by AS DOROTHY PARKER ONCE SAID, LOVERS and THERE’LL BE SOME CHANGES MADE.
