Attempts On Her Life
From pornography and ethnic violence, to terrorism and unprotected sex, its strange array of nameless characters attempt to invent the perfect story to encapsulate our time. Anne, the “her” of the title, proves purposefully difficult to define. Is she a terrorist/porn actress/conceptual artist? At one point, it appears possible that she is a car. You decide, as shards of a life are offered up.
it has subsequently been translated into twenty languages and revived at the National Theatre.
