Max Goldberg

Max Goldberg was the pen name of John Preston aka John F Preston, a very well known Victorian/Edwardian actor-manager.
Under his Max Goldberg name or in his own name he wrote, adapted or co-wrote nearly 40 melodramas between 1884 to 1928.
One of his plays, Rogues of the Turf was made into a film in 1923.
