Harry Waters
Harry Waters was born in Folkestone, Kent and trained at the Webber/Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, London, graduating in 1967. He started his career with a 3-month period at Crewe Civic Theatre under Julian Oldfield and went on to perform at a Bournemouth repertory theatre. When Oldfield was appointed Director of Chester’s new Gateway Theatre in 1968 Waters joined the company.
The Gateway opened with the world premiere of The Double Case History of Dr. Valmy, translated by Farris Anderson, in which Harry Waters played Marsan.
