- To Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company production of A Month in the Country, by Ivan Turgenev, Nottingham Playhouse (Goldsmith Street), 4th - 22nd June 1963: “I was fortunate in being one of three boys to be chosen by Andre Van Gyseghem to play Kolia, split over the 3-week run. The 2 biggest stars of this production were Moira Redmond, who was a busy and succsessful theatre and tv star in the 60’s, and Micheal Meachem, who had just finished filming The Sword of Lancelot, aka Lancelot and Guinevere, playing Sir Mordred to Cornel Wilde’s Lancelot. The film bears remarkable similarites to Monty Python’s Holy Grail! Tickets to the play cost from 3/- (15p) to 7/- (35p). A packet of Park Drive tipped (advertised on the back of the programme), cost 2/10 (about 14p), for twenty. This was the penultimate play before the move, as an “ultra-modern” theatre, to its present site, Man and Superman being its swan song.”
- To Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company production of A Month in the Country, by Ivan Turgenev, Nottingham Playhouse (Goldsmith Street), 4th - 22nd June 1963: “Directed by Andre Van Gyseghem. Natalia Petrovna was played by Moira Redmond, Yslaev (her husband) by Ronald Magill. Both were regular players at the Nottingham Plahouse in the 60’s. Magill was best-known as Amos Brearly in Emmerdale Farm. ”
