The Maniac
This specific production does not yet have a description, but the play itself does:
Originally produced in January 1954 under the title SEX CRIME; when the title was changed, a subtitle was also added: THE STORY OF A SEX MURDERER. Concerns a supposedly upright Charing Cross Road bookseller, Albert Barnes, who manages to deflect the blame for one strangling onto his ‘half-wit’ son Ronnie and another onto his ‘cosh boy’ half-brother, Jed.
