Grand Guignol

Eight portmanteaux of Grand Guignol pieces, initially advertised as LONDON’S GRAND GUIGNOL

The first selection (details below) opened on 1st September 1920 and comprised HOW TO BE HAPPY by Pierre Weber, G.-H.-Q. LOVE by Pierre Rehm, THE HAND OF DEATH by André de Lorde and Alfred Binet, and OH, HELL!!! by Reginald Arkell and Russell Thorndike. All members of the company appeared in the last of these.

Subsequent programmes – billed as ‘Second Series’, ‘Third Series’, etc – opened on 15th December 1920, 28th March 1921, 27th June 1921, 12th October 1921, 25th January 1922, 3rd April 1922 and 31st May 1922.
