Jane Eyre

Presented by Birmingham School of Acting.

Polly Teale’s retelling of Charlotte Brontë’s classic Jane Eyre liberates the character of Jane by fusing Bertha, ‘the mad woman in the attic’ with Jane’s younger self. Presented by Birmingham School of Acting, this adaptation (originally written for the Shared Experience Theatre) is text-based and highly physical: an ensemble cast of eight play all 24 roles. An amateur production by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
