Gone
With a three-man chorus, modern dress and modern language, Gone manages the tricky balance between modern and classical pretty well. A stirring contemporary take on Sophocles’ Antigone. Cannon updates the Greek tragedy to the age of spin and shock-and-awe, drawing inspiration from sources as disparate as television gloss, war briefings and crude protest.
