Play description

Very clever work by Conor McPherson to tie in the huge volume of work by Bob Dylan to a play about freezing midwest USA in 1934. A disperate bunch of characters, all have problems, secrets, flaws and strengths and CM pulls them.all out with real skill. He uses the songs of BD to tell their stories and he takes songs, some well known, others rarely heard, to excellent effect. Brought tears flowing at several points as the cast, many not known previously for singing at all, made touching moments. A brilliant show.
