Velocity
Double bill. ‘Rush’ by Pair Dance (Harriet Macauley) is energetic, bold and potent; this highly physical dance expresses frustration and the frenetic energy of the commuter life. ‘Rush’ mashes up desire and addiction with graunching, clatter, sneezing and wheezing, magnified to altered states of paranoia! Dagdha Dance Company’s ‘Standing in Ink’: Two dancers on stage together. Nothing agreed, nothing set. They are poised to dance together. Over a year in each other’s company, Daghda have re-configured how they think about dance, how they think about the other. A subtle yet powerful duet with the potential to spark a dance revolution.
