Marvell at Midnight

Suffused with jazz, comedy, surrealism and accordions, ‘Marvell at Midnight’ is a vibrant exposé of the trials and triumphs of up-and-coming artists in the 1930s. Ellen Readman, the enthusiastic new writing talent at City Night Radio and the audience are plunged into the world of Marvell House, punctuated by surreal, musically-charged dreams as the Greek god Morpheus forces Ellen to confront her biggest decision yet: to continue with her glittering new career or give up her ambitions to care for her unborn child. ‘It’s about magic and artifice, and there’s plenty of that’ **** (ThreeWeeks on ‘Wondering’).
