I Never Saw Another Butterfly

Over 15,000 children passed through Terezin, a ghetto under Nazi rule in WWII; only about a hundred were still alive when Terezin was liberated. More than 5,000 stories, poems and artwork were produced by the children to cope with the horrors they faced. Raja lived through it all, teaching the children when there was nothing to teach with, helping to give them hope. This play by Celeste Raspanti is her story. It is history as much as any play can be history, showing the best and the worst of which the human heart is capable.
