What did your mum get up to when she was young? Do you really want to know? Through scenes and interviews, music and song, four girls tell the stories of their mothers. First house, first car, first boyfriend, first marriage, first divorce… ‘Like Little Girls in a Sweet Shop’ is a playful, feel-good, musical, moving piece of verbatim theatre that evokes and illuminates 50 years in the lives of four mothers, while encouraging us to ask questions of those we think we know. You’ll look at your mum in a new light.
