A portmanteau of eight short two-handers for four actors, with a fifth providing the links. The plays are SCORE by Lyndon Brook, NIGHT by Harold Pinter, COUNTDOWN by Alan Ayckbourn, RESTING PLACE by David Campton, A MAN’S BEST FRIEND by James Saunders, NORMA by Alun Owen, PERMANENCE by Fay Weldon, and SILVER WEDDING by John Bowen. The linking sections, performed by Victor Maddern in the original production, were written by George Melly.
