The Odyssey

“The only way to stage an epic is with an epic production and, to that end, our cast of twenty has been busily employed learning several different disciplines, from gymnastics to stage fighting, alongside rehearsals in which they are seeking to develop the characters behind the mythology as fully as possible. Our design team is working to transform the Playhouse stage into a space that shifts from place to place, adventure to adventure, with ease and fluidity but not without a few surprises along the way. An original score and live music will complete the vibrancy and energy of the production, which promises to be one of the most spectacular, exciting and moving pieces of theatre in Oxford.”
