The Fear of Queer

The Fear of Queer is an explosive, contemporary, theatrical exploration of Queer, identity, representation, homophobia, sexuality and desire, intolerance and prejudice specifically developed for SHOUT. The fast paced, short, experimental piece of theatre is a multi-disciplined fusion of drama, physical theatre, movement, dance, music and song performed by a diverse company of West Midlands artists. Research to develop the piece has also focused on the West Midlands’ LGBT experiences, using material such as Gay Birmingham Remembered.
