The Multicultural People and Puppets Musical
Celebrating the National Year of Reading and the opening of the 10th Young Readers Birmingham Festival Birmingham Libraries present Out of Africa.

This Magical, Musical, Puppet Production brings the traditions and folk stories from the African Nation to life right in front of your eyes. Using puppets up to two and a half foot tall operated by our performing storytellers you are sure to be captivated and enthralled by this production. We have taken traditional African Stories and brought them right up to date using western style ‘Muppet’, rod and glove puppets.

This show is a blend of Theatre, Storytelling and puppetry, with catchy songs all bursting out from the seams in this brand new musical Follow the adventures of Anansi the Spider as he tries to trick the Turtle and steal all the wisdom in the world. And the wondrous tale of Marriage of Mouse and how the Donkey, Ostrich and Goat find a wife for their special friend. Then of course, there is the African talking book who holds all the stories within his pages.

With full settings this show will delight all audiences both young and old alike. This show is suitable for Theatre settings, normal rooms or for outside performances.

The show runs one hour ten minutes without interval.
