Norwich Puppet Theatre: The Selfish Giant

Venue: Hexagon

“Every afternoon, as they were coming from school, the children used to go and play in the Giant’s garden……The birds sat on the trees and sang so sweetly that the children used to stop their games in order to listen to them. ”How happy we are here!“ they cried to each other. One day the Giant came back……”

A bitter winter descends on the garden which lasts forever until the Giant’s heart is melted by the actions of a little child. The story of The Selfish Giant is played out using shadow puppetry, physical theatre and digital projection, which together with live concert harp make for a stimulating and memorable performance.
