A Stitch in Time

“This show is made up of three short pieces exploring the life of a single character from a young person through to old age.

”A series of sewing boxes and their contents become a shop, a cloak, a living space and a home to Rowena – a character who lives inside the clock and changes the time, linking each story with beautiful movements to music as the story moves along.

“Beautifully embroidered scenery pieces change each scene from a shop to a mountain path to an Irish cottage.

”The puppets range from conventional cloth figures to unusual characters created from sewing tools and fabric.

“This show was developed with a wide audience age range in mind – from 6–106. We have found that younger children and adults enjoy the sequence of events that unfolds before their eyes.”
