The Life and Death of a Buffalo Soldier

Set in Bristol during WW2 and based on a true story. Jimmy, a black GI, and Joyce, a Bristolian girl, fall in love. He is accused of raping her and is court martialed, convicted and sentenced to death in one day. The play follows the trial and explores the attitudes of the American military, the British government and the people of Bristol toward the Black GIs.
