In a surveillance society the inner landscape of our dreams, obsessions, hopes and fears becomes an occupied territory where relationships are no longer free. The play turns upon a spectacular dream sequence, where characters take on re-worked personas as seen through the eyes of a victim of abuse who casts those around her in roles that make sense of her past and open up the possibility of a different future. The reality of what actually happens for her later then unfolds, alongside the course of a very different couple who become more real to each other at a distance than they managed when together.
After the performance there’ll be discussion.
