The Rocky Horror Show
The show originally at the Theatre Royal in May 1984 was based on the revival previously performed a few years earlier at the Kenneth More theatre. It was so successful, it did a mini-tour in the autumn of 84. The following year the show did a full regional theatre tour, before finally coming off the road in July 1988 after the show’s creator Richard O’Brien wanted to stage a new West End version.
Crowd control was always fun, the amount of rice to be sweep up between shows and the vast amounts of water pistols & squeezy bottles that been smuggled in! (as they became banned for causing mayhem due to making the stage very slippery when the water mixed with the rice). The tour had some very good actors in the roles including Bobby Crush as Frank ‘n’ Furter! Very Strange to see him in fishnets and not behind a piano…

Play description
Follows squeaky-clean sweethearts Brad and Janet on an adventure they’ll never forget, with the scandalous Frank N Furter, rippling Rocky and vivacious Magenta. Bursting at the seams with timeless classics, including ‘Sweet Transvestite’, ‘Damn It Janet’ and, of course, the pelvic-thrusting ‘Time Warp’, Get ready for a night of fun, frolics and frivolity. This is the boldest bash of them all, so fish out the fishnets, buff up your basque and sharpen those stilettos for the rockiest ride of your life! Don’t dream it – be it!
