This modified version of William Donaldson’s touring production (qv) involved three cast changes and the deletion of one character (Vi).
The Piccadilly run managed only 13 performances. Reviews included Ann Pacey: ‘Sick Joke Goes On for Hours’ (Daily Herald 28th June 1962, page 5).
