Flare Path

Set in a Lincolnshire hotel in the autumn of 1941, Flare Path is a complex tribute to the collective spirit of wartime bomber crews and their partners. Within this framework the story involves a love triangle between a pilot, his actress wife and a famous film star.

With his characteristic flair for understatement, Rattigan provides a deeply moving portrait of people at war.
