Avon Theatre

Opened in 1921 as the Klaw Theatre, named for its owner, producer Marc Klaw.

The theatre was renamed the Avon in 1928.

In 1934 it became the CBS Radio Playhouse No. 2

In 1953 CBS sold the theatre to a hotel chain and it was intended a hotel would be built above the theatre. Nothing came of this project and the theatre was demolished to be replaced by a parking structure.
