Yvonne Le Dain

Yvonne Jouault born 1910 in Jersey, had minor parts in London plays, married John Farrant Smith and settled in Rugby where he taught music at the school. During the war Yvonne and John ran a number of small productions which proved very popular, they included young actors including Bryan Forbes who later directed “National Velvet”.
Post war Yvonne appeared to separate from her husband and went to live in London where she became a manager for young actors. She then moved to Cornwall where she died in 1979. On stage she went under her mothers maiden name Le Dain.
