Nancy Mitchell
Born in Edinburgh in 1930. Attended Stenhouse Primary School and Boroughmuir High School. Initially trained as a secretary, then successfully applied for Drama college. Studied at RSAMD in Glasgow, and won the James Birdie Silver Medal in 1955.
Had a varied career on stage, on television and on radio. Worked in both the U.K. & Canada.
Theatre appearances included Perth Theatre Company in the 1960’s, and Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh in 1980’s. Also toured with Cambridge Theatre Company(1970’s)
She died in 2007 following a stroke
