Credited in the 1980s as John Lyne-Pirkis, in the 1990s as John Duval, in the 2000s as Johnnie Lyne-Pirkis, and subsequently as John Pirkis.
Founder of both Cygnus Productions and Foghorn Theatre, and later co-founder of Theatre 503 at the former Latchmere Theatre.
