For Orchard I played Proven Vick in A NIGHT IN THE COUNTRY as well as John Clare in an evening dedicated to the poet which did a mini tour. I had also written a play about John Clare some years previous so was so pleased to meet a descendant of Clare Gladys Stradling – who looked like John in drag! I have had a 40 plus year career appearing in everything from Claudius in HAMLET for ESC to FAME in the West End as well as in the two rarely performed Gershwin shows OF THEE I SING and LET ’EM EAT CAKE for Opera North as Senator Lyons – the script was by the writers of Marx Bros comedies – so you may imagine! Feature Film called LOVE’S KITCHEN and DRAUGHTSMAN’S CONTRACT. TV: Includes award winning 3 part Drama Doc on the Gulf War and the suspicious death of weapons expert David Kelley where I was Sir John Scarlett powerful Head of the JIC. I now live in Ipswich (2021) and run a new writing theatre company called Missing Pieces Theatre Show with my business and life partner actress singer dancer writer Karen Lynne. We do socially relevant self written shows which cross ballroom with play, COME DANCE WITH ME, and play with theatre form such as with A QUESTION OF ERROL FLYNN which utilises mixed media and an accompanying workshop on addiction. I’m also these days an advanced Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner!
