Julie Castleford

Born Birmingham July 1956. Attended Tudor Grange Girls’ Grammar. School 1967–74. Numerous acting credits including productions at Bristol University alongside Diana Hardcastle, Julia Hills, David Bamber, Steve Rawsthorne.

Writer and director of numerous children’s drama productions 1987–2012.

Unable to attend drama school due to lack of funding, so moved abroad to work in tourism and as cabin crew. Travelled extensively in Europe and Middle East .

Speaks French German Italian. Head of four international schools in Switzerland, Oman, Italy and Germany. Returned to UK in April 2014 after 15 years abroad to care for mother. One daughter born October 1985.

Due to take up teaching post in Solihull Sept 2014.
