Another Kind of Play
**This special show features the works of local artists producing through music and film an impressionistic view of mac’s history**

Taking its cue from the ideas of mac’s founder John English, who had the vision of new kind of facilities for leisure time enjoyment’ that would act as a stage for another kind of play: play of the mind, play of the spirits; play of the imagination’, this special show features the works of local artists producing through music and film an impressionistic view of mac’s history. Using archive footage of mac, filmmakers Babis Alexiadis and Scott Johnston have produced a montage of moving images set to three specially commissioned live soundtrack interpretations performed by Brian Duffy (Modified Toy Orchestra), Dreams of Tall Buildings and Little Sister, featuring electronic and acoustic, modern and traditional instrumental music.
