Trained at Central School of Speech and Drama 1966–69. . Acting ASM at Nottingham Playhouse 1969–70. Played Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre 1970. Season at Welsh National Theatre Company 1970–71. Glasgow Citizen’s Theatre 1972–3. Derby Playhouse 1973. Watford Palace Theatre 1973. Crucible Theatre, Sheffield 1974. Played Iago in Othello at Ludlow Festival 1974.
