Dead Ringer
Thriller about a Prime Minister dropping dead on the eve of a General Election and a lookalike actor being recruited to take his place. Adapted by producer Charles Ross (under the pseudonym James Francis) from Logan Gourlay’s novel THE PRIME PRETENDER. The West End press night was 17th May 1983. The actual General Election that year was on 9th June.
