Love Scofield’s acting in films – this was the one time I was able to see him on stage. I must admit, having read Cervantes, I found the adaptation not as compelling as it perhaps should be. I recall that the male leads were good but the bicycles/tricycles a big distraction that added little…

Attended this as part of a school outing. Three outstanding memories: Brian Glover being Brian Glover in the way only Brian Glover can; outstanding theatricality of the tilting at windmills scene as lights swooped around the theater and an outstanding death scene by Paul Schofield. He underplayed everything but his death choked a 16 year old boy.
