Last five observations
- To New Shakespeare Company production of Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, London, 12th June - 31st August 1991: “This was a production when the Open Air Theatre invited Friends to become extras. I joined in about six performances taking three roles – a spear carrier, a guest at the banquet – with a speaking role, in unison with the other: “Our duties and the pledge!” – and a flaming torch carrier for the closing scene. It was an exciting experience with plenty of interaction with the cast and crew both on stage at rehearsals and backstage during performances. I remember, particularly, David Gooderson’s hilarious portrayal of the Porter and the cast’s own revue night when they amused us all with their anarchic sketches (for cast and crew only). What a privilege!”
